Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 have introduced harmonized rules for the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), establishing minimum technical requirements and operational procedures necessary to operate legally in Italy and throughout the European Union.

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/664 governs UAS operations in the U-Space, introducing advanced digital services for drone traffic management, connectivity between operators and service providers, and the free movement of UAS-related services within the EU.
